I won't be a spoiler.  But really.  Wow.  Not expected.  And as usual Tony's self preservation rules.

True.  The synopsis doesn't do the episode justice at all.  It describes a subplot that will, no doubt, be very important in the final few episodes, but it's not what dominates this one.

BTW, if you haven't seen it, you have to watch very closely for the first few minutes to get the title.

    Rock Ballad (none / 0) (#3)

When Tony and Carm were in the car at one point, there was a 70's guitar rock ballad instrumental playing in the background. I tried in vain to figure out who it was. Anyone?

impending doom for A.J.  His little group's forays into torture over a gambling debt and the racial beating have to end with consequences.

Will Tony's peyote trip ephipany ("I get it") lead him to leave the mob, or get more vicious with those who could betray him?

I saw the soprano's for the first time last night at a friend's house.

My take on the 'I got it' line was that Tony is going to meet a bad end.

The scene was awash in the glorious light at sunset, mountains, desert, a scene that Hallmark would die for.

The previous scene was also set in a beautiful setting, the NJ coast, wetlands, birds and beautiful natural beauty. Because Tony was partying in LV and not paying attention to an asbestos problem, the dump truck emptied its load in the wetlands. That was right before the 'I got it' scene.

I think that this forebodes disaster for Tony.

Also the kid now has a taste for blood and will soon be into murder.

I'm done trying to figure out what will happen.

After last night the writers have proven to me that I'm not smart enough to get inside their heads.

I am truly going to sit back and enjoy the next three episodes because literally anything can happen.

When Tony snuffed out Christopher the writers snuffed out any ability I have to feel sorry for him.

Maybe this was by design maybe it wasn't.

The point is who knows and we should all enjoy the inevitable suprises that await us in the last three episodes.

    Trust the writers (none / 0) (#8)

I'm sure I can't predict how all this will end, but I trust the writers to finish the Sopranos in an appropriate manner.

Each week there is an "Oh my gosh" moment. Each episode there is incredible dialogue(Tony and Carmella at the dining room table this week), each week a new possibility.

This is like a magic show. I really don't want to kn ow how the trick is done, I just want to sit back and enjoy the magic.

I still think Paulie brings T down either by letting Leotardo know when and where to kill him or by flipping to the feds.  although I did hear what i thought were ducks when the asbestos was being dumped in the water and a while back ducks were in tony's dream when he got pinched......

Watch for AJ to initiate something violent next week or the week after.

I am glad Tony is imploding, I can only imagine that after decades of stealing and killing and lying, that self destruction is next......
