Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld decided to show after all.

Today, the Oversight and Govt. Reform Cmte. holds a hearing on Army Crpl. Pat Tillman's death by fratricide. Senior Defense Dept. officials describe what they knew about the incident. Witnesses include; Gen. Richard Myers (Ret.), Gen. John Abizaid (Ret.), Gen. Bryan Douglas Brown (Ret.), and fmr. Def. Sec. Donald Rumsfeld.

    The notion that Rumsfeld is somehow not responsible is abominable to me.  As the head honcho at the Pentagon at the time of Tillman's death, the responsibility rests squarely with him.  He and his cronies covered it up and lied to Pat's family and the rest of the country, spinning a heroic story out of a tragedy.  It's an insult to Pat's memory and to the rest of America.  Please make your opinion know about the Pentagon's responsibility; vote on:  http://www.youpolls.com/details.asp?pid=268

    The left is so anti-US military.  How dare DOD would use Pat Tillman to recruit soldiers.  I mean, the Army is an evil organization like Halliburton.  He was killed by the US military, probably a hit for propaganda!

    I'm certainly to the left of you, and I'm a US Army vet.  Are you?  If not, why are YOU so "anti-military?"

    Give it up.  What kind of (expletive deleted) calls those of us who have served "anti-military," when they don't have the guts to do so themselves?

    How do you suppose the Democratic veterans in congress outnumber the GOP vets by such a lopsided ratio?

    Got any idea why a dozen Iraq vets ran for congress as Democrats in 2006, v. one Republican?  What do you suppose it is about service in Iraq that makes people want to run for Congress as Democrats?

    If I didn't have to get outta my p.j.s and leave mummy's basement, I'd dig around utube to see if those pieces of his speaking are available.

    my wife and I laughed. of course there is no evidence, witnesses, documents ... rummy's been around since NIxon !!

    if that slimeball learned anything, he learned how not to get caught.

    btw, the conspiricy I would most suspect which happened is the same conspiricies against any bad truth that these guys are ALWAYS in the thick of.

    the right kind of tillman story was a perfect distraction for the nightly news for 2 to 4 weeks, that was ALL they cared about.
