Huckabee Trounces McCain in Kansas

CNN projects Mike Huckabee as the winner in the Kansas caucuses today.

With 76 percent of precincts reporting, Huckabee had 62 percent of the vote, compared with 22 percent for Arizona Sen. John McCain and 11 percent for Texas. Rep. Ron Paul. Kansas has 36 delegates at stake Saturday.

Experts say Huckabee can't make the numbers nationally and McCain will be the Republican nominee. Huckabee responds:

Well, I didn't major in math, I majored in miracles. And I still believe in those, too."

...every time he loses a state from here on in.  It's better for Dems for Huck to stay in until McCain clinches the number of delegates to win the nomination.
Gives us a little more time to get our house in order.

Obama vs. Huckabee. What a matchup: who's God is better? I'm sure this would be the source of many great South Park shows.

In his comment above, Huckabee sounds a lot like Pat Robertson.

Although I think it is good that there are two candidates for the GOP right now, a lot of things can happen in the next few months. Look at how many said McCain was toast when he started carrying his own luggage and had no money. Well, there was a miracle and he is the front runner. And if McCain dropped out for any reason, including health, then ol' Mike will be the candidate. I bet he is praying for that miracle right now.
