Roman Polanski Wins "Best Director" Award at Berlin Film Festival

Roman Polanski has been awarded the Silver Bear for best director at the Berlin Film Festival for his new political thriller, The Ghost Writer. It's a political thriller, starring Pierce Brosnan as a prime minister accused of war crimes. It's based on the 2007 Robert Harris book “The Ghost.”

Still under house arrest in Switzerland, Polanski was unable to accept the award in person.

    But then I am seeing the trailer through my Ewan McGregor goggles.

    Polanski is a great director and the  film buff in me is happy he got this movie made before whatever happens to him happens.

    made we want to see it.  Ewan McGregaor is at his "ingenue best" and Pierce Brosman is "superb".  Of course, she seems enthralled by the direction.  Yes, I want to see it.

    this does nothing to assuage my disgust and revulsion with the "artiste."

    the 13 year old girls of this world would be a lot safer.
