Stay safe, Donald, but please keep the updates coming to the extent you have time.  It's much more vivid hearing from you than from strangers on the TV.

I think Hawaii may be safe since most of the world is watching live on TV to see the tsunami come in.  Let's hope so, anyway!

    Oh, oh. You're seeing it receding (5.00 / 1) (#22)

sooner than anyone on the teevee reports.

Waiting, reading your reports, watching here in 33-degree weather with several feet of snow still on the ground -- sending that thought to keep you smiling and happy to be where you are, even amid all this.

Wish you all the best in HI (5.00 / 1) (#23)

Your eyewitness coverage is much appreciated; keeping you and the entire area in my thoughts and prayers.

Hope your daughter is staying calm - she's in NY State, right?  And dealing with the aftermath of a big snow, probably.

I think I would be a little on edge if my kids and I were separated by such a great distance.

Just emailed a friend on the Big Island. He bought in a high elevation for reasons such as this, so should be OK.
