    mailer to "resident" does not mention HCR at all.  Perhaps he is getting negative feedback from his constituents on his misleading critique of the pending legislations and his bullet-points for what he thinks will "fix" health care.  This mailer is all about jobs and economy and immigration, i.e., no wonder there aren't any jobs--look at all the illegal immigrants here.

    is dead, if true, because Democrats are holding out and wouldn't support it.

    An example:

    Rep. Dennis Cardoza (D-Calif.) appeared to switch positions on healthcare on Saturday, saying he'd vote against a rule that deems the Senate bill as passed.

    Cardoza, a previously undecided lawmaker who'd voted to pass Democrats' healthcare bill in November, said he would vote against the process his party plans to move forward on healthcare.

    "I don't believe it's smart of us to pass a bill this momentous with a deemed rule," Cardoza said in a Rules Committee markup. "I want to make the announcement in the committee right now that I don't support that, and won't support a rule that does it that way."

    because the "deem and pass" option that was under consideration would have amounted to exactly the same thing. Now they're just going to have two roll calls instead of one.

    in the Dem caucus meeting -- as there are Secret Service there for more security for members of Congress, too.  Maybe they ought to bring in the legendary cots from the cloakrooms and give one to Obama to keep him and his Secret Service around for a little longer, until the crazies leave these buildings and environs.  Not a day to be in D.C.

    for the antiwar protest and hope he stays safe.  I understand that Beck was rallying the crazy troops last night, claiming that Communists and Socialists had permits today in D.C., too.  He apparently just about called for everybody to get their guns and go to the nation's capital. . . .

    last weekend for the cold and constant rain.  But did get to observe Senators McCain and Lieberman rehearsing their inquiries of one another on the issue of the Biden "insult", with Mark Warner presiding.  Subsequently, they went to their respective desks and discussed the matter, for the record and for their press releases.  Part of the theatre, I guess.  They both look even worse in the flesh and blood.

    "bring your guns to the capitol" I think FOX News really needs to think about stepping, that's one unbalanced nut from starting a bloodbath and frankly losing everything in a civil suit.
