Welcome Back Chris Cuomo

Chris Cuomo returns to our televisions every weeknight, at 8pm ET and again at 11 pm ET, on News Nation. Here's how to watch without cable.

I completely stopped watching cable news when his show went off the air. Taking his job away for defending his brother just seemed really unfair to me.

Who else has shows on News Nation? Legal analyst and now media scion Dan Abrams (who I suspect may own the channel, or a big chunk of it) and Ashley Banfield (whose reporting I have always liked since she was with MSNBC.)

I wish them all well and I intend to make time to watch.

Also on a media note, I'm sending good thoughts to Katie Couric, who recently announced she finished radiation treatment for breast cancer. (She's going to be fine).

I never was a fan of Chris Cuomo.

I will double down on sending good vibes to Katie Couric in her fight with cancer.

MO Blue. Not a huge fan of Chris, either, although there are a lot of newscasters who are much worse.
And I'm glad that Katie is done with her breast cancer radiation treatments. I'm halfway through mine, and I can't wait until it's over. But I'm hugely grateful that I do not need chemotherapy.

The treatments are long and tiring. Hope you are tolerating it well.

Yes, it is a blessing that you did not need chemo as it is truly a totally unpleasant experience.

your way, Mme. Zorba, from my temporary trans-Pacific commuting abode in San Diego. I know you still have a lot of family matriarching left in you. Yes, chemo is a real drag, so it's great that you've avoided it. And the strides they've made in radiation therapy are amazing. It's improved a lot from the time I experienced it 15 years ago for melanoma.

    Take care.

Chris Cuomo is more pundit than newscaster, which is par for the course today in cable newsmedia. And the older I get, the less tolerant I am of people who constantly talk over others, or attempt to diminish them or shout them down. The only thing they prove by doing it is that they're obnoxious and annoying.

meeting was a skillful presentation that weaved the many parts into a whole.  A whole that gathered evidence showing Trump was not only the ringleader of the.coup, but also, that it could not, and would not have happened without him.

The Committee's new Secret Service communications made available re-enforced previous testimony regarding Trump demanding to go to the Capitol and put to the lie a counter-story intended to discredit testimony.

The idea of an intelligence failure for the violence and danger of the day was refuted, it appears, by the new evidence. FBI Director Wray has a lot to answer for.---e.g., did the agency  go lightly because these were Trump's people?   We're they sympathetic? (We know the FBI took a difference route with BLM.)

This session  was not as theatrical  as those of last summer, save for the new  footage of Speaker Pelosi and other Congressional leaders trying to fill in the void of presidential leadership. But, the goal of synthesis of information was attained.  The "chef's kiss"was the subpoena of Trump.  Of course, it is clear that Trump will run the clock out as is his wont, since the subpoena ends with this Congress, but is was a dramatic ending. And, another incentive to get of the vote so as to retain the House.

and it will be important to indict and convict Trump henchmen who  acted on his behalf or in cohort.  It needs to be demonstrated that acting unlawfully with the expectation of protection by an unlawful president has criminal consequences.

    Four Ballot Initiatives to Watch
October 27, 2022 at 9:41 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 7 Comments

Dan McGraw: "Of the nearly 130 ballot measures in states this November, there are four that stand out as having importance on which direction the country is heading."

"In no particular order, they are an abortion vote in Kentucky, ranked-choice voting change in Nevada, stricter voter ID regs in Arizona, and marijuana legalization in Arkansas."

"All four have national importance for both parties."
