I watched some of Secretary of State Clinton's testimony before a House committee today. She was good. TPM has her exchange with Mike Pence (R-IN):

    Obama has a forceful, articulate spokesman on foreign affairs.

    Kind of like Blair for Bush.  Except Hillary is advocating the right policies, and Obama can promote his foreign policy equally well.

    An appropriate combination of humility and assertiveness, I thought.

    I sure wish John Kerry had been willing to be this clear about the fact that, golly gee whiz, we have a different approach to foreign policy from Bush and we actually think it's the right thing to do.

    Watching Hilary on this (and her comment on Cheney!) I had to reflect on when Condi testimonied and laugh. Gone are the 'do not recalls' and the filibustering and the 'couldn't foresees' and the 'couldn't have changed' and the patently obvious lies for someone standing up for the policies and actively doing things to improve our nations standing and relationships.

    I think politics isn't team sports.  When you really feel your position was right, you shouldn't roll over like a lap dog and say, oh, I get over it.  You should fight on, regardless of your political affiliation.

    Unfortunately, the politicians in Washington, Clinton included, consider politics team sports.

    delegates see if it wasn't for you we could have had this articulate think on your feet woman as our president instead of the stumbling bumbling can't talk without a telepromter O-blah blah  we have today.

    Hope BO stays out on the campaign trail and lets the grown ups run  our foreign policy. (Too bad we don't have a grown up in charge of the treasury can we clone her?)

    seems like she has better leverage there to get things done. So far she's shining in/on the job.

    They'll prob move some younger white guy into VP in 2012 and then run him in 2016. And we'll be back where we started. It's always been about "the boyz"  ;)

    I read the blogs, saw the video posted, about Hillary's outstanding performance.  So I sort of expected some mention on the so called progressive's favorite network, MSNBC.  No surprise to me that the only thing Chris Mathews mentioned was Hillary's compliment to Ron Paul supporters (and of course his mention had a sneer to it but we all know how Matthews feels about Hillary anyway).  So did Rachel mention it?  KO?  Schultz?   I was busy last night and curious to how any of these Hillary haters felt about her standing up to the rethugs and defending BO......so forcibly???
