Exit Polls Project Franken Wins Minnesota Senate

A huge win if it holds up. Al Franken would be the 4th pickup (in addition to Hagen in NC, Shaheen in NH and Warner in Virginia.) The Udalls in Colorado and New Mexico would be the 5th and and 6th. Merkley in Oregon and Begich in Alaska would make 8 pickups in the Senate.

is probably inflated for the Dems in MN. But you're right, it shows Franken knocking off Coleman. That would be sweet.

I drove home to vote at about 4pm.  Traffic was bad on the freeway, so I exited and took surface streets.  I drove through a depressed, predominantly minority area of Minneapolis.  Lots of Obama AND FRANKEN signs in the hands of people at the street corners.  Unlike anything I have ever seen.  Let's hope this holds!

This one would really make me happy (5.00 / 2) (#6)

I think he has the potential to be a really fine progressive Senator.  I hope I am right about that.

I just want to watch the conservative media establishment weep into their tailored suits. They hate Franken so much.

we need a professional comedian in congress, there are way too many amatuers in there now!

glad to see warner won in a landslide. hopefully, gilmore will get the hint, and go back home for good. he's such an obnoxious pr*ck, even his fellow republicans disliked him.

trust me, i know from obnoxious pr*cks! :)

party, but Franken's prospects aren't looking so good right now. My hatred for Dean Barkley (and David Dillon) knows no bounds.
